Day 12

A few of the pups are smaller than the others, so they take their turn nursing with mommy on her comfy spot on the sofa!

Uncle Stormy makes sure everyone is safe and comfortable!

Day 11

All of the puppies are up on their feet moving around. They are wiggly but mobile. If they could only see where they are going!

Their eyes are just starting to open. By next week everyone should have their eyes open. Just like human babies all puppies are born with blue eyes and may change as they get older.

Day 10

Mom-Mom Linda stopped by to visit her Grand-Dog Honey and all of her new puppies!
 Honey enjoing snuggles from Brandon!

Day Eight

The puppies are making a lot of noises. They sound just like a Gremlin!

Yellow Male #3 & Black Male #2

Today while I was changing their collars and cleaning them up, I saw the Yellow Female up on her front paws! It will not be long before they are all staggering around like toddlers!

Day Six

Today All of the puppies got weighed and new collars. The puppies ranged from 11 oz. to 1lb 1oz. The Purple collars are for Girls and White collars are for the Boys. As I post pictures on the Blog I will try to name the puppies in the pics so that you may follow your favorites.

All of that excitement made the pups very tired. At this point they don't do much but eat, sleep & Poop!

 Yellow Female #1
We are calling her Winnie, since her Mother is Honey and  I am a Pooh Fan!
A pile of Pups!
 Black Female #3
Yellow Male #3

Day Five

 I love puppy noses!

The puppies are born with their eyes and ears closed. But they have a great since of smell. They  can smell their mommy and they start wiggling toward Honey as soon as she gets in the box. They can move around very good for not being able to walk. The Pups climb all over Honey's paws & legs and snuggle to her muzzle to fall fast asleep.

And they make the cutest little grunt~piggy noises! You are welcome to stop by and see them!

Day Four

Today All of the puppies went for their first Vet visit. It was not too bad taking 11 puppies under 1 pound to the vet, (they fit nicely in a box) but, their next visit will be a circus! We will need all of the hands we can get!

The puppies had their dewclaws removed and all of them got a clean bill of health!

Good Job Mommy!

Day Two

Honey is such a good Mommy!
Mommy never left she puppies sides, only to relieve herself and get a drink. We brought her food and extra cottage cheese to help with milk production. So far, all of the puppies are growing wonderful and Momma is doing great!
It is so amazing to me that just a s they are born and getting cleaned off by mommy, that they already have the survival instinct and start nursing right away! Another one of Gods amazing wonders!
( The Pictures are pink because of the heat light that we keep on the puppies at all  times,  to help  their body heat stabilized and keep them warm.)

New Born

The puppies and mommy are doing well. New born puppies are about the size of a toilet paper roll and very fragile.
Nine puppies were born by 2:00pm and we thought everything was over, when #10 &11 showed up at 4:00pm.
 " What an awesome litter!"

New Puppies!

Honey had her litter of puppies today!

She nested all night long!  She pulled blankets and clothing is piles and circled around them, digging and sniffing. Honey was so miserable she, shook &  her teeth were chattering most of the night.  Honey had her first pup at 8:52 am and her last pup at 4:05 pm. Honey and her eleven puppies are resting well.
